The Artefakt Press studio is now available for rent to anyone interested in doing their own Risograph printing. The studio is set up for all your art print, zine, pamphlet, postcard, and even badge making needs.

The cost for your project is calculated by adding the following together:

① Studio rental fee (1,500円/hour)
② Printing fee (see tables below)
③ Master fee (200円 each – one required for each color)
④ Paper (see below)

The studio is available for rent in hourly blocks, Monday to Friday 10am to 7pm, which you can reserve through our online booking system. Rental is at a rate of 1500 yen per hour, during which time a technician is on hand to assist you. Aside from the Risograph printer, the studio is also equipped with an A3 guillotine, paper folder, booklet stapler and badge maker.

Printing fees are as per the following tables.

Because Risograph ink takes time to dry, you will need to wait at least overnight if printing more than 2 colors or double sided.

Currently we only have stock of A3 and A4 white uncoated paper in 70kg and 90kg weights. If you would like to use another paper stock, you can bring your own. Just make sure that it’s uncoated and not extremely thick or thin.

To make sure your print session goes as smoothly as possible, we recommend preparing your files in color separated PDFs.We apologize for not preparing more detailed instructions on preparing your files to print on Risograph, but if you do some Googling, there are numerous excellent guides on the net.
